Ramada by Wyndham Coquitlam

My cousin and I booked a 2-bedroom unit (there are 4 of them at this Ramada) for 3 nights to be near the wedding venue (Vancouver Golf Club) of another relative of ours. The unit was spacious and generally quiet and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the coffee machine just off the lobby where you can grab a hot drink at any time of the day. Since we had our own kitchen, we just got coffee and had our own food for breakfast in the unit.

There was a person using a fairly loud weed-eater outside our room when we arrived. Not a problem, I understand ground maintenance needs to be done. However, I was planning on napping so I phoned the front desk to ask when they might be finished. The front desk apologized and had the gentleman stop right away. Wow. After that, it was very quiet and I fell asleep right away. In addition, the hot tub was nice and hot, not lukewarm like some places. Powerful jets too.

Location was great for everything we needed to do while visiting the lower mainland. Convenient access, easy to locate.

I do not like the unreasonably very high hotel prices in Vancouver. Having said that, relatively speaking, the room size and the overall floor plan were good here, but the floor felt a bit sticky. So we had to request the front desk for some mop cleaning; the girl at the front desk was responsive and acted on the room cleaning request.

Great value! Clean, comfortable, friendly staff! Hotel is a bit older but had all we needed. Room was spacious. Will stay again!
